Finding my way back to myself.
After years devoted to raising my children, I felt ready to reconnect with something I loved. I started Matte in 2017 in San Antonio, Texas, as a way to work from home, be there for my family, and rediscover a part of myself through something that brought me joy.
A little piece of yourself.
Along the way, I met women who felt the same. I still remember a customer who tried on a pair of earrings and looked in the mirror. In that moment, she seemed to recognize herself again.
That feeling guides the way I choose each piece of clothing, jewelry, and every little detail at Matte. My hope is that when you wear them, you feel a little more like yourself, too.
